Board of Education
General Information
Bradford County registered voters elect the five School Board Members by geographic area to serve a four-year term.
Duties of the Board include, but are not limited to: adopting the annual budget, approving all expenditures, establishing district policy, authorizing employment of personnel, approving textbooks, and courses of study.
Meeting Times
The Bradford County School Board meetings are held on the second Monday at 5:00 P.M. and the fourth Monday at 8:30 A.M. as deemed necessary of each month, except for holidays.
Location
Meetings are held in the Bradford County School District Board Room located at 501 West Washington Street, Starke, Florida 32091.
The Bradford County School Board consist of 5 members elected by geographic of their constituents. The board members are the official policy-making body for all education related issues for the Bradford County School System.

- Visit schools throughout the District
- Various local civic functions
- Serve in a quasi-judicial capacity on such items as grievances and expulsions.
- Meetings and functions conducted by organizations throughout the City, such as the Chamber of Commerce, Value Adjustment Board, District PTA, District Advisory Council, Joint Planning Commission, School Health Advisory Council, Bradford County Education Foundation, Florida School Board Association, and Consortium of State Schools Boards Associations, etc.
Salary
Board Member salaries are governed by Florida Statute 1001.395. As provided by section 1001.395, Florida Statutes, the annual salaries of the Board Members shall be determined or adjusted as provided by law.
