FLDOE BEST  Math at Home Plan

A read-at-home plan is required to be provided to parents of any K-3 student who has been identified with a substantial deficiency in reading. The Florida Department of Education has compiled resources that each school district must include into a read-at-home plan provided to the parent of a student who is identified as having a substantial reading deficiency. A read-at-home plan includes  information and resources connected to the essential components of reading: oral language, phonological awareness, phonics, fluency, vocabulary and comprehension. These resources are available in an electronic format that is accessible online, and a hardcopy of such resources must be provided by the school upon parent request. Learning begins in the home. You are your child’s first and most important teacher and reading with your child is a proven way to promote early literacy. Helping to make sure your child is reading on grade level by the end of third grade is one of the most important things you can do to prepare him/her for the future. To help reinforce the learning taking place within our elementary schools, we have put together this Read-At-Home Plan to support you, as your child’s first teacher. Reading with your child for at least 20 minutes a day and using a few simple strategies from our Read-At-Home Plan can make a positive impact on your child’s success in school.  Get started with the Bradford County Read-At-Home Plan or Spanish Version now.

FAST Test Scores are available within 24 hours after testing and posted to the State of Florida’s FSA/FAST Family Portal.  See  FAST Family Portal Access for qiuck and easy instructions on how to view the scores from your FOCUS Parent and Student portals.

• The Classlink portal provides Single Sign On access to all classroom related tools. 
• My Backpack is the ClasslLink Virtual Backpack. It gives students a place to see all of their classes and launch apps assigned to those classes.
• Classlink has provided a quick quide to assist parents as they assist their children with the use of their Classlink classroom tools.

The Family Empowerment Scholarship (FES) Program was established during the 2019 Legislative Session to enhance Florida's menu of education options. It will provide children whose families have limited financial resources with the opportunity to attend the school that best meets their needs and enables them to reach their academic goals. 

Updates to the Hope Scholarship

Section 1002.40, Florida Statutes (F.S.), was established during the 2018 legislative session and provides the parent of a public school student who was subjected to an incident of bullying or violence (a complete list of incidents is found in section 1002.40(3), F.S.), an opportunity to transfer to another public school, or request a scholarship for the student to enroll in and attend a participating private school.

Parents who wish to request their child attend another public school should work directly with their school district. Parents who choose the private school option may apply for the Hope Scholarship by using the updated Hope Notification Form and going to the Step Up For Students website. Parents who have additional questions may email hope@sufs.org or call 877-735-7837.
