HCA Florida Donates $1,500 to BCSD!
HCA Florida has donated a $1500 check that provided for the cost of Museum representatives of CADE in the Classroom to visit the classrooms as well as additional materials for the Elementary classroom libraries.

BCSD Controlled Open Enrollment Application
Bradford County School District Controlled Open Enrollment application is now available. Applications must be submitted to the Assistant Superintendent's office for the following school year between March 15-April 15. Please click the headline for more information and access to the application.

Textbook Adoption Public Review and Public Hearing
On Monday March 14th there will be a public hearing to receive public feedback on the proposed math instructional materials that are being presented for next year's curriculum. Boys Basketball Team Wins State Championship Game! First Boys Basketball Championship in School History.
The 2021-2022 boys basketball team has accomplished great feats this season. For the first time in school history, the boys team wins their first ever state championship title! Congratulations!

Substitute Teachers Needed!

Lawtey Elementary Receives $5,000 from ATT!
ATT has donated $5,000 to Lawtey Elementary as a result of a grant that was submitted by the Education Foundation of Bradford County.

BCSD Receives $15,000 from Clay Electric Foundation!
Clay electronic has donated $15,000 in response to a grant submitted by the Education Foundation of Bradford County. $5,000 will go to SSE, SES and BMS for math and STEM.

New School is Paid off!
The $698,000 paid in full by the State of Florida Special Facilities Construction Funds given to BCSD for their new school. On site to capture the New School property pay off were (l to r): Candace Osteen, BCSD School Board Vice-Chair; Sheila Cummings, BCSD School Board Chair; Carolyn Reddish, Community State Bank EVP, COO; David Bridgeman, Community State Bank President & CEO; Superintendent Will Hartley; Cheryl Canova, BCSD School Board Member and John Grebinger, Community State Bank SVP,CFO.

Baseball Team Receives Money From Kiwanis Club!
Out of the park home run! As outgoing president of Starke Kiwanis Club, Property Appraiser Kenny Clark selected Bradford High School baseball and softball programs to be the beneficiary of local funds raised by the Kiwanis Club during his presidency. Coach Chadwell (left to right) accepts $1,000 from Clark with the assistance of Superintendent Will Hartley and Athletic Director Sampson Jackson. Three strikes for BHS sports: $1,000 for the BHS baseball account; $100 for the Home Run Club and $100 for the Softball sign.

BCSD Recognize Community Business Partners!
On Monday, May 10, 2021 the Bradford County School Board recognized community business partners who have worked with district employment specialists and Bradford County students. These employers have opened up their place of business as a training site for students to gain work experience through a non paid on-the-job training program. These opportunities help students explore career interests, skills, and abilities. District staff are truly thankful for the collaborative efforts of each employer! See more info.
